Liz + Jess – Hawaii Destination Vintage Beach Wedding
Planning a Hawaii Destination Wedding could be a challenge when you live on the other side of the United States, so we were honored when Liz and Jess put their trust in us to bring their vision to reality. They envisioned a laid back, ocean front soiree with vintage Hawaiian touches which they found at The Bayer Estate in Hawaii Kai.
It was BASH’s first Jewish ceremony and we were excited to learn about the different traditions incorporated into their ceremony. Two of our favorite touches were the silk chuppah that Liz’ mother lovingly hand-painted with blessings for the new couple and the custom ketubah that they signed before the ceremony.

When asked what her favorite part about the wedding was, Liz said:
My favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony itself because it had some many special moments. My mom painted our chuppah that we stood under. A close family friend married us with a beautiful and very personal ceremony. I laughed, cried, and really took in the moment in front of all those who were dear to us. It was wonderful to hear the vows Jess had written for me. For a “man of few words,” his vows really touched me and I’ll always remember them. I still get teary when I hear the songs I picked out for the procession playing on my iPod and it brings back all these emotions. It’s a beautiful memory and I wish I could do it all over again!
